What are Butler buildings and steel outbuildings?
They're pre-engineered steel structures. The components are engineered and manufactured in a factory, then assembled on your site. Around Kingston, Ontario they're used mostly for commercial, industrial and agricultural work: shops, warehouses, storage buildings and farm buildings.
How does the process work?
You start by telling us about your project: dimensions, site location and how you'll use the building. We follow up to work through the specifics, often with a free on-site measure and consult, then build you a complete project quote. UBuild handles the prefab specs and delivers the building components. From there the construction is done by your own crew or by us, with the trades coordinated either way.
Do you offer a free site visit?
In many cases, yes. When it helps to see the site, we'll come measure, check access and grade, and talk through insulation, finishing, mechanical and slab options before we put your proposal together.
Who builds the structure?
UBuild, the manufacturer we distribute for, handles the prefab specs, manufactures the pre-engineered components and delivers them to your site. From there you can put the building up yourself, or we can handle the construction. We scope the project, assemble the quote and coordinate the trades around it.
Can you handle the concrete, mechanical and interior finishing too?
Yes. We can coordinate the slab, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, insulation and finished interior as part of the project, or work alongside a builder and trades you already have. It comes down to how involved you'd like us to be.
