Common Kingston bathroom questions

Your bathroom renovation is backed by a single 3-year warranty on both materials and installation. We're your neighbours in Kingston, and we'll be right here for the next three years and beyond if anything ever needs attention.
Both, but most of our customers come for the design. Your designer plans the bathroom from layout to fixtures, then the install team builds it out. You don't need to hire a separate designer or general contractor.
Yes, and so is everything else up to the quote. The initial consultation, on-site measurement, design work and the itemized quote are all free, with no commitment until you decide to go ahead with the project.
The cost depends on the size of the bathroom, your tile, vanity and fixture selections and any plumbing or electrical work needed. A free consultation gives the team enough information to discuss a practical budget and next steps.
Your designer prepares an itemized quote once the design and selections are settled. The quote stays valid for 30 days. Once you approve it and the project is booked, the total stays locked in. What you sign off on is what you pay.
Most bathroom renovations take a couple of weeks, depending on the size and scope. Design and selections take roughly two weeks once the project is a fit; after that, project length depends on materials and whether trades or permits are involved. We'll give you a clear timeline before any work begins.
Yes. Most Kingston homes we work in are one-bathroom homes. The project is sequenced so the room is unusable for the shortest stretch possible, and your designer will tell you in advance which days the bathroom will be offline.
Vanity, tile and fixture swaps in the same footprint usually don't need a permit. Moving plumbing, adding new wet walls, removing walls or running new electrical circuits often do. Your designer will tell you which side of the line your project sits on, and the team handles the permit and drawings if one is needed.
Yes. Features like walk-in showers, freestanding tubs, tub-to-shower conversions and heated floors are scoped during the design phase along with the rest of the bathroom. Your designer can walk you through what fits your space and budget.
Yes. The design department coordinates licensed and insured plumbers and electricians as part of the project. Your designer stays your point of contact. You don't separately hire trades.
Bathroom vanities, vanity tops and tile samples are on display in the Kingston showroom inside Atkinson Home Hardware. You can compare cabinet styles, finishes and tile alongside plumbing fixture choices with a designer.
Bathroom renovations completed through the design department carry a 3-year warranty covering both materials and installation. If something supplied or installed by the team needs attention, you call one team, not separate manufacturers or trades.
